I yove you
Man, cats have been busy lately. So many good things have happened that it would be unsettling to cats if they weren't careful about thinking on higher vibrational frequencies.
So the biggest thing that happened was I got to audition for a commercial that was being made by one of my favorite directors yesterday! The problem was that I about crapped my pants when I walked in and saw him on the tele-thingy (he was in Los Angeles) and so wasn't too relaxed or anything. I think it made me be not funny. But that's o.k., because you win some and you lose some. It's just nice to know that he thought I was funny enough to call me back for one of the spots. It makes me feel like I'm a Big Shot, yo.
Also, I'm in an industrial that's filming in Detroit next week, and it's so cool because they're flying me there in a plane and putting me up in a Holiday Inn. I will bring four of my friends. But, seriously, I thought I'd probably have to drive there and stay in a Super 8, so I'm excited that the situation is actually so fancy.
And I start classes at the Chicago Shakespeare Theatre next week, so that's going to be neat-o. I want to be a folio badass, that's my goal. And I hear that's the place to go for that training in Chicago, so I feel lucky that I got into one of the classes. AND I feel REALLY lucky because I have a temp job that lasts from now until I go back to Iowa City and it pays lots and it's pretty easy and they don't mind when I do things like leave work to go on auditions and film industrials.
And after I get back from Detroit I have to start working on packing my stuff up so I can move into my new super cheap and totally beautiful hardwood floors and heats included apartment on October 1st!!
So I guess the moral of the story is don't make fun of the Secret, because it WORKS.
